Kathryn Chambers, MA, Pre-Licensed Clinician

Kathryn is a masters level counselor with a passion for helping others, a commitment to ongoing learning, and a deep appreciation for the complexities of the human experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Xavier University where she majored in psychology and minored in pastoral ministry. Kathryn went on to earn a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Trinity Christian College. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with and volunteering for a diverse range of populations which has given her a broad perspective on working with adolescents and adults of all ages. Kathryn believes that experiences past and present, environmental stressors, societal systems as well as interpersonal communication all inform our thoughts and emotions. Her interest in evidence based methods has led her to appreciate the value of approaching treatment through psychodynamic, client centered, and mindfulness practices. These methods resonate with her belief in the importance of active listening and being present with her clients, allowing them to feel heard and understood in a non-judgmental way. Kathryn’s expertise includes working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and interpersonal issues. She is particularly interested in incorporating new technologies, research, and innovative approaches into her practice. Beyond her professional life, Kathryn finds joy and balance spending time with friends and family, watching movies, and all things art and music
