Tiffany Ruffin, MA, Pre-Licensed Clinician

Tiffany's professional journey began with a strong foundation in education. She graduated with an MA in School Counseling in May of 2011 and has been a dedicated school counselor ever since. Her career in education started in 2001 as a special education teacher in the Chicago Public School system. After five years of teaching special education, she transitioned to general education, teaching 6th and 3rd grade, before following her passion to become a school counselor. Tiffany's undergraduate degree in elementary education from Northern Illinois University and an MA in educational leadership have equipped her with the skills and empathy to be the caring counselor she is today. She believes that no learning can occur if all hearts and minds are unclear, a principle she upholds in her counseling practice.

Tiffany is a compassionate and dedicated therapist with 13 years of school counseling experience. She specializes in various counseling techniques, including cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and person-centered therapy. Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions and overcome obstacles. Tiffany is known for her empathetic listening skills and ability to guide individuals seeking personal growth and healing. Her expertise in these techniques instills confidence in her clients and helps them on their journey to wellness. Outside of work, she enjoys experiencing new foods with her husband, her yearly girl's trip with her two best sister-girl-friends in the world, being a football mom, and watching her younger self through her two pre-adult daughters, shaking her head saying "That's what my granny went through."

Tiffany is committed to promoting mental health and wellness in her community and wherever possible. She is a servant, and she does not take her calling lightly.
